Opened in January 2013, the Rolex Boutique is run and maintained by the long-established family business of Carl-Friedrich Bucherer. The heavy security door, finished in 24-carat gold, was fitted with a modified underground drive to ensure reliable but silent operation despite its enormous weight.
The diameter line is a railway track that passes through the city of Zurich, describing a wide arc from Altstetten via the main station all the way up to Oerlikon. Its centrepiece is the underground passage starting at Löwenstrasse Station, which was opened to time with the Swiss railways timetable change on 13 December 2015.
The construction of the station at Löwenstrasse gives Zurich’s main station new and additional access to the so-called Gessnerallee Passage, which links together the two underground transit stations Museumstrasse and Löwenstrasse, as well as the platforms on the ground floor. At the same time, new retail spaces have been created, expanding the ShopVille RailCity shopping mall by the addition of 44 new retail outlets. As record products are already well represented in the old part of the Shop Ville-RailCity, we received orders to supply entrance doors for the stores in the new part of the shopping mall, which is finished in steel, concrete and pale granite.
To provide a completely hands-free experience for their staff and visitors when using the bathrooms at their Australian headquarters in St Leonards, MasterCard engaged record Automatic Doors to upgrade 22 of their male, female and accessible bathroom entry doors with DFA 127 automatic swing door operators, activated by touchless door controls or radar activation sensors.
Record undertook a full assessment of each entrance to determine a suitable mounting location for the operators with some needing to be mounted inside the ceiling area, with suitable access panels for future servicing requirements, with others needing to be mounted to visible structure within the hallway area.
For the accessible bathrooms record also installed electric locking and its accessible privacy kit system with indicator lights and touchless door controls.
After a successful trial of record’s FlowControl in a number of stores, the UK’s largest grocery retailer, Tesco is now rolling out the people counting and traffic light system to 1,100 of their stores across the country.
Fully automated and with highly accurate counting, the FlowControl is being supplied and installed on customer entrance and exit doors at all store formats of Tesco stores including Express, Metro, Extra and Superstores. This will help Tesco comply with Covid-19 social distancing guidelines and ensure customers and staff feel safe during the pandemic.
The highly adaptable and configurable system enables Tesco to safely redeploy staff currently manning entrance doors freeing them up to work elsewhere and gives managers the flexibility to control customer numbers in-store.
The FlowControl Traffic lights inform customers when it is safe to enter or when they need to wait because the store has reached its pre-set maximum safe capacity. When the store has reached capacity, the doors automatically deactivate and only re-open once someone leaves the store.
To further help customers, especially those with sight impairments, the FlowControl systems at the larger Extra and Superstores will play pre-recorded messages to advise whether it is safe to enter the store or not.
All stores will also have a staff alert system fitted at the Customer Service desk to notify staff when a store is nearing or has reached capacity. Staff will also be able to monitor the actual number of people in the store at any time on the FlowControl display. This display also allows Staff to make adjustments and changes to settings and counts, for example, to adjust for staff that have entered or left the building.
The FlowControl system will be installed by record over an eight week period, mostly out of hours to minimise the impact on customers and disruption to the stores.
In addition to the two Diamond Series revolving doors to the main lobby entrance at 100 Mount Street, record C 127 automatic swing door operators were also installed to the two adjacent frameless glass swing doors.
With a concealed floor mounted design, these swing doors are fully automated, to ensure disabled access requirements are met, without detracting from the streamlined frameless glass appearance desired by the project architects, Architectus. The operators were installed with custom made stainless steel floor trims which sit flush with the floor surface and allows the flooring contractor to provide a removable stone inlay, necessary for servicing access, to match the surrounding floor finishes.
Freestanding stainless steel clad bollards on either side were installed for the mounting of necessary green mushroom head push buttons, for normal hours activation, card external reader, for after hours access, and an intercom system. The doors are secured via electromagnetic locks mounted to the transom member above with full height back to back D handles ensuring the doors can be operated manually in the event of a power failure.
Dangrove is a specialised art storage and operations facility, purpose built for the White Rabbit Gallery, owners of one the worlds most impressive private collections of contemporary Chinese art. Designed by Tzannes and delivered by Infinity Constructions, the imposing space is a departure from traditional warehouse design, with the ability to not only store and display artwork in climate controlled conditions, but also host private functions.
record Automatic Doors was engaged to supply and install three C 127 in floor mounted automatic swing door operators to the main ground floor entry as well as to pivot doors in the Level 1 space. With polished concrete floors throughout, special care was required to set out and install the stainless steel floor box enclosures prior to the concrete pours. Stainless steel cover plates were used for operator access, complementing the stark design aesthetic.
For one of the automatic swing doors, installed next to a series of frameless manual doors, specially designed pivot patch plates were manufactured to house the pivot strap of the C 127 in the most frameless design possible, negating the requirement for full length bottom rails.
A modern acute hospital with functional solutions, good room allocations and short connecting routes was built on the existing hospital site. The new building enables optimised operational and process flows. These are decisive for the staffing requirements, the future operating costs and the process quality.
In order to ensure high quality medical and nursing services in the future, a new hospital building was necessary. The building fabric and the infrastructure of the hospital (ventilation, water, medical gas and electrical lines) were getting on in years. The building and room structures, which were over forty years old, no longer met today's needs and requirements. In the new building, the operational processes are optimised and adapted to modern medicine and its requirements. In addition, the economic efficiency of the service company will be increased.
Losinger Marazzi was commissioned with the complete planning and implementation of the new building as part of a total contractor contract. This regional hospital with approx. 180 beds was handed over to the hospital management after a construction period of almost 3.5 years. As a partner for door automation, record Türautomation AG was able to advise, design and install all automatic doors. A wide variety of record products were used to provide the best solution for the hospital's operations, both functionally and aesthetically. The service and planning competence of the record employees was appreciated and helped to keep the tight schedule to the day.
